Timothy Hart, CPA
Senior Partner
Timothy Hart is the Senior Partner of R3 Accounting, located in Ft. Lauderdale. With over 30 years of experience in accounting and finance, Timothy brings a wealth of expertise to his role. His career includes a decade with KPMG, one of the world’s largest international public accounting firms, where he gained significant experience in the industry.
Timothy expanded his private practice to establish R3 Accounting LLC, where he continues to provide expert guidance in various complex accounting and finance matters. His extensive experience encompasses dealing with SEC and other regulatory issues, such as managing initial and secondary public offerings, handling private placements, and crafting responses to SEC inquiries. He is proficient in ensuring compliance with SEC reporting requirements, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K. Additionally, Timothy has successfully represented clients in securing debt and equity financing, negotiating with banks, private investors, and investment bankers, and appearing before the IRS for client audits.
Timothy's expertise also covers mergers and acquisitions, including the preparation of transactional documentation, and implementing back and front office systems for small to medium-sized businesses. His consulting services extend to small public and private companies, advising executives on a wide range of accounting, finance, and tax issues.
Timothy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Economics, and Business Administration from Thomas More College and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1984. His dedication to community service is demonstrated by his past role as Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce for Oakland Park/Wilton Manors.
Richard J. Paull, MBA
Senior Accountant and Consultant
Richard J. Paull brings over 35 years of extensive accounting and finance experience to our team. He holds a BS in Biology and Education from Syracuse University (1976) and an MBA in Accounting and Taxation from Suffolk University in Boston, MA (1985).
Richard's accounting career began in the early 1980s as a staff accountant with Grant Thornton (formerly Alexander Grant). After two years, he transitioned to the private sector, joining Oxbow Corporation, where he served as a personal accountant to William I. Koch, the company’s founder and CEO. At Oxbow, Richard collaborated closely with the CFO on consolidated financial reports and was instrumental in establishing the accounting framework for the America 3 Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization that supported Bill Koch's America's Cup challenge in 1991-92.
In 1990, Richard opted to establish his own accounting and tax firm in Wellington, FL, catering to the needs of small to medium-sized businesses and individuals. His clientele ranged from local startups to regional and national corporations across both public and private sectors. During this period, Richard also provided contract services to various CPA firms, assisting with audits and the preparation of SEC 10-K and 10-Q filings.
Since 2013, Richard has been a vital consultant for TBG and R3 Accounting, focusing on both public and private clients, alongside handling tax preparation duties. In 2017, he merged his practice with R3 Accounting, where he now works full-time.
Beyond his professional career, Richard has actively contributed to numerous non-profit organizations in roles such as treasurer, board member, accountant, fundraiser, event planner, and active member, demonstrating his commitment to community and service.
